This is a project I started Tuesday, January 16 2018. I simply did a Google search for 3d dinosaur scans and came across a great paper on the scan of a Massospondylus skull from South Africa. The authors provided a downloadable model of a pretty low resolution scan in .stl format. So I decided to drop this model in to ZBrush and attempt a cleanup.
Below you can see the bone scans being used as reference when sculpting the cranial crests.
Right side is the raw scan data and the left is the cleaned up sculpt. I keep the original scan visible as a sub tool to use as reference.
